Direct from Bhutan, meet a "Tego". A traditional open jacket with long arms worn in this magical Himalayan kingdom. Made of silk, silk-blend or polyester blend, these jackets are simply STUNNING. Reverse fabric is on the inside the cuffs--which are meant to be folded up to the wearer's comfort showing an alternate print. The jackets can be worn open, as a jacket or second layer, or--in Bhutan--pinned closed with a fine pin. These jackets were hand-carried back from this faraway world to Saranac Lake by a local person who aids a non-profit for six months each year. Size is one size; jackets are unisex.
Care of copper, russet and mauve Tego's: machine wash, cold & gently cycle. Line or air dry.
Care of blue silk dragon Tego: Handwash only; cold water. Lie flat to dry.
Non-profit: Draktsho Vocational Center for Disabled Youth.
Location: Thimphu, Bhutan
